Dutch avant-garde death metal act THE MONOLITH DEATHCULT are proudly presenting their brand new album ‘’The Demon Who Makes Trophies Of Men’’ which will be out on April 5, 2024 via Human Detonator Records.

The band have just released their brand new single ‘Commanders Encircled With Foes’ which can now be found HERE. The track is also available on all other digital platforms HERE.
THE MONOLITH DEATHCULT states: “’Commanders Encircled With Foes’ is the final (maxi) single from the upcoming album “The Demon Who Makes Trophies of Men”. This single is a fist in the face of artificial intelligence. The music is recorded during a hallucinatory jam session via an analogue mixing board on magnetic tape. The video is hand-drawn using only organic, non-GMO natural materials by various skilled artisans from around the world to support the band in their battle against the machines. The Monolith Deathcult are more human than human and embrace 100% human incompetence.”
- THY CATAFALQUE announce European tour dates for April & March
Hungarian avant-garde outfit Thy Catafalque are about to embark on their very first European headline tour in March and April 2024. The run includes ten shows in seven different countries, starting in Vienna (AT) on the 29th of March.
Thy Catafalque will be supported by The Answer Lies In The Black Void on all dates. A full list of confirmed shows can be found below.

One of Norway’s most interesting bands, MADDER MORTEM, has always defied any attempt at genre-labeling. Fronted by Agnete M. Kirkevaag’s unique, wide-ranging voice, it can be said that they pretty much define the “All Things To All Men” category, drawing fans who profess a liking for genres that range from Prog to Metal, Rock to Extreme.
But make no mistake, this is not a band that wanders aimlessly through the genre minefield. MADDER MORTEM know exactly what they are doing and where they want to go, and have had almost 30 years to hone their very considerable skills. Skills that will be used to good effect on what will be the band’s 8th full-length album, which will be titled “Old Eyes, New Heart” and will be out on Dark Essence Records on January 26th 2024.
And while we wait for the release day, Dark Essence have brought us the first single from the album titled ‘Towers’

However, those defences can become too strong over time, and what was once built to lock out, becomes something that locks in.“
